Keren Hayesod – UIA is committed to giving new immigrants and native-born Israelis the chance to realize their personal potential through higher education opportunities.

Through sponsored scholarships, KH-UIA ensures their successful integration while advancing Israeli society as a whole. KH-UIA is also involved in assisting Israel’s largely impoverished ultra-orthodox community acquire professional skills through higher education, allowing them to enter the workforce, provide for their families and contribute to Israeli society at large.

Educational Youth Villages

The rise in the number of youth-at-risk is one of Israel’s most serious social problems. Out of an estimated 475,000 youngsters who are considered “at risk,” close to 50% are from poor immigrant families from the periphery, where acute disadvantage is often compounded by the trauma of terror and war.

The Net@ project established by Keren Hayesod-UIA provides after-school technological training to high school youth from Israel’s geographic and socio-economic peripheries, enabling them to obtain international certification as advanced network technicians from Cisco Systems.
